ZANESVILLE -- The Board of the Mid-East Career and Technology Centers has accepted the resignation of Superintendent William A. Bussey.
Bussey's resignation will become effective on August 1. Bussey, who has been with Mid-East for more than 14 years, has accepted the position of state director of Career-Technical Education at the Ohio Department of Education.
Bussey has served as a teacher, high school supervisor, adult education director and superintendent in the Technical Education field for the past 38 years. His new responsibilities as state director will include over-seeing operations, programming and grant requirements as well as general leadership for Career-Technical Education in the state.
